Integrated Light Level Sensing

The LS5 light level sensor is a three-wire, 0 to 5VDC, linear photodiode that is specifically designed to connect directly to Blue Ridge Technologies Lx5 based products (lighting control panels or Qwik- Kits) without any additional hardware or power supplies. The Blue Ridge Technologies Lx5 controller provides power and monitors the LS5 light level via a three wire connection. The LS5 light level sensor converts the light level into an analog signal and that value is read by a Blue Ridge Technologies Lx5 analog input. That analog value is then available to be transmitted over the network for use by the Building Automation System. Because the light level is now represented as an analog value, the Building Automation System can set up multiple set points to trigger a variety of control sequences from single LS5 light level sensor.
