Lumisys Application Engineering FTP FTP sites are typically used for uploading and downloading files to a central server computer, for the sake of file distribution. This particular FTP folder is provided as a distribution point for Lumisys Application Engineering documents, databases, files, etc... In order to download and upload files to an FTP site, you need to connect using special FTP software. If you need to FTP a file to Lumisys, please call Application Engineering @ 800-241-9173 for a username and password. You're welcome to use your own FTP utility. Host URL: ftp://ftp.fatcow.com/ Otherwise, please find below directions on how to use the current version of Internet Explorer to FTP files. Click this link ftp://ftp.fatcow.com/ or type it into your Internet Explorer address bar.
You will then receive a pop-up Authentication Request asking you for your User Name and Password. Carefully type each into the provided boxes. Keep in mind, User Names and Passwords are case sensitive. If your User Name and Password are accepted, you will see a page that looks something like this: Next click PAGE > Open FTP Site in Internet Explorer (Like picture below)
You may get challenged for a username and password again, if you do they're the same ones you received from Lumisys Application Engineering. After, the page should change to a view something like the image below. From this view either "Drag and Drop" your files to this location,
The time it takes up upload or download a file is dependent upon your internet connection speed and file size. |
