Frost & Sullivan recognizes Lumisys with the 2008 North American Frost & Sullivan Award for Industry Innovation & Advancement of the Year for its MINT™ Demand Response (DR) solution. The Mint DR extends Lumisys’ initiatives in offering an energy management solutions that allows for seamless integration with building automation system (BAS) infrastructure via open standard protocols. These energy management solutions reduce costs by eliminating stand-alone lighting controls and enhance interoperability of lighting with building automation, thereby optimizing energy savings. Lumisys’ MINT™ DR combines theLumisys Mint DR  Digital Addressable Lighting Interface (DALI), an internationally recognized standard for architectural dimming, with BACnet®, the leading standard data communication protocol for building automation, to control DALI-compliant digital ballasts within a building.

MINT™ DR uses Digital Addressable Lighting Interface (DALI), the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standard for fluorescent lamp ballasts and BACnet®, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) recognized ANSI/ASHRAE standard data communication protocol for building automation.

Leverage the Power of Integration

All Lumisys lighting panels powered by Lx5 technology ship to customers capable of supporting multiple native protocols**. The Lx5 controller can be customized and has the memory and computing capacity for up to 5 concurrent native protocols. These protocols options are manually selectable with the flip of a switch or field flash upgradable with Lumisys Panel Programming Kit.

These UL Listed, lighting control panels are built for integration and are designed to control high-voltage lighting circuits via Lumisys True Relays (LTR). These long-life relays are rated for 300,000 operations at full load with a 20,000 AMP Short Circuit Current Rating (SCCR) when installed in Lumisys manufactured panels. Additional levels of control capability can be achieved by integrating occupancy sensors, light level sensors, low-voltage override switches, Digi-Touch® network devices, and other input devices.
